NetherSX2

NetherSX2 support in Kumo focuses on memory cards, save states, ROMs, and BIOS files.

What Kumo supports

  • Memory cards
  • Save states
  • ROMs
  • BIOS files

How to configure it

  1. Open NetherSX2 in Kumo.
  2. Let Kumo detect the app's folders automatically.
  3. Check that memory cards and save states point to the expected locations.
  4. Import your PS2 BIOS file in the BIOS row if needed.

What Kumo usually finds automatically

Kumo looks inside the emulator's Android app storage and usually detects both the memory card folder and save-state folder automatically.

Pitfalls and limitations

  • Save states are convenient, but they are often larger and more fragile across emulator versions than memory cards.
  • If your main goal is long-term progress syncing, memory cards are usually the safer category to prioritize.

Supported file extensions

Saves

ps2, kev, p2s

ROMs

iso, bin, img, mdf, nrg, gz, cso, chd, dump

BIOS notes

NetherSX2 requires a PS2 BIOS dump in .bin format.

Typical filename patterns:

  • SCPH-xxxxx_BIOS_Vxx_*.bin
  • scph10000.bin, scph39001.bin, scph70012.bin (common examples)

Exact naming can vary. The important part is a valid PS2 BIOS dump for your region.
